At the Valandrea ski area, snow and services are guaranteed until late spring

Once again this year, Livigno is the ski resort in the Alps with the longest skiing season, if you exclude the ski slopes on the glaciers of the Alps. In fact, the lifts will close on Sunday, 3 May, snow permitting: this means that there is still plenty of time to ski in Livigno and that the Easter holidays here are still skiing holidays!

Until when can you ski in Livigno?

The 2025/26 winter season in Livigno was exceptional not only in terms of duration, but also for the wealth of events: the first Super-G of the Alpine Ski World Cup, held on the new Li Zeta slope, and of course the three weeks of competitions of the Winter Olympic Games, which consecrated Livigno as the world capital of the snowboard and freeski disciplines. But from the end of November - the date of the opening of the lifts - to the beginning of May, Livigno's slopes have been and will be populated above all by sportsmen and enthusiasts of all backgrounds, ages and levels, because the ski area is truly suitable for all skiers, everyone included.

Families with children and those who want to learn to ski will find in the school camps in the centre of Livigno the perfect environment to approach the snow and their first descents, with treadmills, ski lifts and beginner tracks, as well as ski schools for private and group lessons (discover the Valandrea ski school). Those who are already at ease on skis or on a board can try their hand at the more challenging slopes, among the more than 70 slopes in the ski area, and go up in altitude with chairlifts and cable cars to find spectacular descents and tracks for expert skiers.

Skiing at Easter at Valandrea: why it's a unique experience

In Livigno, skiing is possible in spring until May, and therefore also at Easter. At the beginning of April, the village and the surrounding landscape are still as white as in winter, snow is guaranteed and the snow conditions on the slopes are optimal, thanks to the altitude - from 1869 metres at the bottom of the valley to almost 3000 metres at the highest points of the ski area - which guarantees low temperatures and the constant work of the ski attendants. The Valandrea ski area, accessible from the centre of Livigno just before the beginning of the pedestrian zone and easy to reach by car or bus, is among Livigno's lifts open at Easter and until the end of the season. In the heart of the village, we offer a wide range of ski services that are indispensable for a day or holiday in the snow:

• parking with direct access to the slopes for those arriving by car (find out more);
• a bus stop for the Livigno bus right in front of the lifts (find out the next bus arriving and waiting times), ideal for getting around without a car on the way between home/hotel and the ski slopes;
• private lockers for storing skis and equipment, that can be rented for a single day or for several days, useful both during skiing to store personal belongings and at the end to leave skis and boots on the slopes to pick them up and use them the next day
• skipass ticket office, where you can buy your pass for skiing in Livigno directly on the slopes and find out about any ski promotions in force;
• 3 lifts - chairlift, ski lift and magic carpet lift - suitable for different levels of ability and two ski slopes (Valandrea I and Valandrea II) with the possibility to connect to other nearby lifts and the Sitas-Carosello 3000 ski area at high altitude
