Evening activities and entertainment at the end of the day on the slopes

Skiing in Livigno is the favourite snow activity from December to April, during the very long winter season that characterises the resort in Valtellina. As the months progress and spring arrives, the available daylight hours increase and it is even nicer to ski until the lifts close in the late afternoon: and after skiing, there is still plenty of time left to enjoy Livigno. Here's how.

Après ski in Livigno's clubs

The après-ski ritual awaits Livigno's skiers at all times of the season. At the end of the day on skis, after having stowed the sports equipment in the heated lockers available for hire at the Valandrea ski area, one warms up in the best bars in Livigno with an aperitif and a cocktail (of course, the spritz is a must, as well as the famous bombardino), listening to music and sharing new experiences. Apres ski is an after-ski activity that has now become a must in the most fashionable Alpine resorts, with bars, pubs and wine bars competing to offer cool atmospheres and themed parties, in spectacular locations with outdoor bonfires or panoramic terraces. For those skiing at Valandrea, on the ski slopes right in the centre of Livigno, you'll be spoilt for choice among the apres ski venues.

Duty-free shopping in Livigno

Once the skis are off, many sports enthusiasts go shopping in Livigno's shops. Thanks to its duty-free zone, shopping in Livigno is indeed very convenient, with excellent savings on duty-free goods such as alcohol, tobacco, clothing, perfumery, jewellery and technology. The centre of Livigno, coinciding with the pedestrian zone that starts right behind the Valandrea ski lifts, is dotted with shop windows and boutiques of the most important international brands, and the streets in the late afternoon are filled with tourists strolling around in search of the best bargains, without disdaining a stop in one of the numerous bars or a take-away snack.

Relaxation by the pool and in Livigno's wellness centres

Those who have been skiing all day can't wait to take a well-deserved rest, and what could be more relaxing than a dip in the pool? Livigno's best hotels and inns all have wellness areas and swimming pools, but in town - in the lake area, not far from the Valandrea ski area - there is also one of the largest wellness centres in the Alps: Aquagranda, which offers several areas including one for families and children with slides and games and a wellness area with saunas, Turkish baths, relaxation rooms, whirlpools, wellness trails and aufguss rituals with sauna instructors. There really is everything to regenerate body and soul after the hard work accumulated on the Livigno ski slopes.

Challenges between friends on snowkarts

Those who are not yet satiated with fun and adrenaline will stay on the piste even after the lifts close. On Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, the Valandrea Ski Area remains open for another two hours, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. with the slope lit up: not for night skiing, but for snowkarting.
